My other blog :)

Some possible ideas for my online presence to show me as an artist best are, A CV. This was done via Word programme. This shows where ive came from, my history in art and what qualifications i have. I also will have a gallery of all my previous work before BVA and during. I will do this by uploading photos onto my posts to create a gallery. Some other possible ideas would be to add the slideshow i made in Digi Lit about what ive learnt so far in Digi Lit which i made in powerpoint and then uploaded to slideshare.

Check me out!!

More bout me as an artist!! Heres a link to my blog on wordpress which is more bout me and my work Ckeck it out :) http://mostashie.wordpress.com/about/

Thomas and Craighead

An interesting name with an interesting style of art. These guys (or guy, im not quite sure) just download photos from the internet and different clips and make it into a movie...simple. An example of this is A Short film about War which "is a documentary made entirely from information found on the worldwide web. In ten short minutes viewers are taken around the world to a variety of war zones as seen through the collective eyes of the online photo sharing community Flickr, and as witnessed by a variety of existing military and civilian bloggers". Very cool idea. The picture above is of the 'Short film about War' which premieres at the Centre for Contemporary Art in Glasgow on July 2nd 2009. Hopefully this link will link you right up to the website if your interested :) Thompson and Craighead

Corby and Baily

I watched sequence_01.wmv and its very interesting. It's not exactly my thing but if you have a chance have a look at it and see for yourself. You never know, you could find that electronic art is a new love of yours. Use this link to check it out Corby and Baily. The image above is called CYCLONE.SOC which is sort of the same deal as well. Check it out :)

Case 3: Keir Smith vs Fair dealing

Obviously this short clip is compltly illegal as it was the intended purpose of the the clip (a response to the Australian Government's "Fair Use and Other Copyright Exception" Yet he is wanting it to be covered by 'fair use'?? I don't know what his argument is but i think it may be to be an 'example' of all sorts of illegal copying in the Digital age but that would be about it i think. But he didn't get permission to use all these peoples works without consulting their rights of holding a copyright for their work....I have no idea what is going on in his head...but as soon as i do i'll keep you posted.

Case study 2: Woods vs 12 Monkeys

In this case i believe that the chair was the same chair that Lebbeus wood had drawn. The director Terry Gilliam even admitted that "he reviewed a copy of the book that contained the drawing "Neomechanical Tower (Upper) Chamber". As www.benedict.com said, "The court cited the fact that the wall and floor were composed of a visibly jointed grid, the walls had the same worn texture, and a horizontal shelf and apron near the top of the vertical rail. The chairs themselves consist of four rectangular planes, arm-rests with diagonal supports, etching on the chair back. The court also noted the both spheres were suspended in front of the chair from a metal framework with similar surface designs." I agree with this commentg and too believe that this was a breech of copyright rights

Case study 1: Harrison vs The Chiffons

Althought the tempo and instruments are similar and the melody is resonably the same as well i don't think i would have pointed it out instantly. In fact i had to keep playing the two songs over in order to see the similarities to note. I think this case is being a bit too precious and the outcome of this case shouldn't have completly over the top charges. Possibly a sma;; copyright price but nothing else.

R is for rose

I love roses and this is the image that i saw and loved straight away :)
